Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for or using VAOMS ("the platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform. These terms apply to all users, including virtual airline administrators and pilots.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use VAOMS. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have parental or guardian consent.

3. Accounts

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must not share your account with others or allow unauthorised access.
  • You must provide accurate and current information when registering.
  • You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent flight data (PIREPs, position reports, etc.).
  • Attempt to manipulate scoring, rankings, or statistics through unauthorised means.
  • Use the platform to harass, abuse, or harm other users.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems, accounts, or data.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the platform.
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or overload the platform without prior written consent.
  • Violate the terms or rules of VATSIM, IVAO, or any connected third-party service.

5. Virtual Airline Administrators

If you operate a virtual airline on VAOMS, you are responsible for ensuring your airline's operations, rules, and data comply with these terms. You must not use the platform to collect sensitive personal data from your pilots beyond what is required to operate the airline. You are responsible for moderating your airline's content and members.

6. ACARS Client

The VAOMS ACARS client transmits simulator telemetry and flight data to our servers. You agree that this data may be stored, processed, and displayed as part of the platform's features. You must only use the ACARS client with a legitimate copy of a supported flight simulator.

7. Intellectual Property

All software, design, trademarks, and content on the VAOMS platform are owned by or licensed to us. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the platform for its intended purpose. You must not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission.

8. Availability & Service Changes

We aim to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the platform at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any loss resulting from such changes.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Use of the platform is entirely at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VAOMS and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these terms or engage in conduct harmful to the platform or its users. You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the platform after updated terms take effect constitutes acceptance.
