vAOMS-Connect v0.4.4-rc

Connect now talks to the live vAOMS server, and a flight in progress survives Connect closing or your computer restarting.

What's new

  • Flights survive a restart

Connect now saves your flight as you fly. If Connect closes, crashes or your computer restarts, sign in again and the flight picks up where it left off, with its log, flight time and distance intact. If the aircraft is no longer where Connect last saw it, you are asked to resume the flight, the same as after losing the simulator connection. A flight you already completed comes back ready for its PIREP.

What's improved

  • Connected to the live vAOMS server

Connect used to sign in, send your position, chat and file PIREPs through the vAOMS test server. It now uses the live server, the same one as the vAOMS website, so a change on the test server can no longer stop you signing in or lose a PIREP. Update Connect when it offers the new version and sign in once more.

What's fixed

  • If a PIREP failed to send and you signed in again, the Bookings page sat on "Flight completed. Opening PIREP screen…" with no way forward. It now has a Submit PIREP button, and signing in again puts you straight back into your flight.
  • Signing in and filing PIREPs failed for a while on 3 November with "Call to API that requires a key, but no key provided". Flights filed during that time may need to be filed again.
