Diversions are now handled from start to finish. Landing somewhere other than your destination is detected automatically, and once your PIREP is filed you can choose to carry on to the original destination.

Continue After A Diversion
When you divert, shut down and file your PIREP as normal. If you diverted, the Flight Report then asks whether you want to continue to your original destination — you are always asked, whatever your airline's settings. Choosing Yes loads that flight into your bookings for one hour after your in-block time (your airline can change the window); flying it is optional, and it is removed if the time passes. Choosing No removes it altogether. The leg keeps your aircraft, callsign and passengers, and departs from the airport you diverted to. If you close Connect before answering, or the submission is retried, the question comes back on the Active Booking page while the offer is still open, and on the website.

Diversions Are Detected Automatically
Landing anywhere other than your booked arrival is now recognised as a diversion. That includes airports outside your airline's network, airports that are on no list at all — a medical emergency at a small field still counts, and is logged as "Diverted N nm from planned arrival to an unlisted airport" — and a return to your departure airport. It is logged in the flight log as "Diverted N nm from planned arrival to XXXX", and the flight is scored and reviewed as a diversion. Previously a diversion went through as an ordinary flight.
